Superintendent of Schools Tom Rinearson recognized Toledo Jr./Sr. High teacher Peter Vince and Toledo Video Production students for their video at the School Board meeting August 24 for Bright Horizons Therapeutic Riding Center . Bright Horizons was founded in 2004. It is a nonprofit organization that works to improve the physical and emotional health of (primarily) riders with special needs. The program operates in a facility between Siletz and Logsden. The center includes a viewing room, wheelchair accessible grooming areas, tack room and indoor arena. Bright Horizon therapy horses are either donated or leased to the center and are carefully screened for soundness, temperament, and smoothness of gait before being accepted into the program.
