Even though many Wavelength readers may not recognize his name, I’m pretty sure most everybody in town would recognize his face because Dave worked at Toledo Ace Hardware.
I wasn’t a close friend, but because I’m renovating an old house in town, I make a lot of trips to the local hardware stores, and I interacted with him often. He was always helpful, friendly and funny. I’ll miss him.
When I stopped at Ace for some paint thinner on Friday , Terry and the rest of the folks at Ace had put display in his memory, and I’m sure it would raise their spirits if you stopped in for a minute or two to share a kind word and a memory.
Dave was a really great guy from all my run-ins with him. He was always friendly every time I went into the hardware store. I enjoyed spending a few minutes visiting with him on my trips in there.
I am in the same boat as Mark, I will miss him.
Just got word that the service for David Andrews will be tomorrow, Feb. 4th. at the Newport Armory at 2:00.
Please spread the word. David was part of our little Ace Family for over 5 years. He is going to be greatly missed. Thank you.
Dave will be missed by us at the City of Toledo Water Plant. He always provided great service to our needs, and we really enjoyed his humor. Dave was authentic and compassionate, and loved to share a good Joke.
