Larry Monroe Johnson, Jr., 49, died February 8, at his home in Toledo. He was born September 26, 1962 in Roseburg, Oregon to Shirley Ann (Tucker) Johnson and Larry Monroe Johnson, Sr. Larry was a 1980 graduate of Toledo High School. The family said, “Larry met his wife, Janet, at Toledo High School…. high school sweethearts. He fished for a long time because he wanted to take care of his family financially, but realized he missed quality time with them, so he got off the ocean. He has an extraordinary work ethic, and he hunted just as hard. Next to his family, he loved going up in the woods, scouting and bow hunting. His hunting partner, his father, passed away almost two years ago, and hunting never was the same. His favorite thing in life was to be at home with his wife and kids. Once off the ocean he went to work for Pumpro with the intent of eventually purchasing the business. He is survived by his wife, Janet Lynne Johnson of Toledo; children Lynnesy Marisa Johnson (Aaron Garofalo) and Bo Zackery Johnson (Sharayah Kenady); mother, Shirley Johnson of Toledo; parents-in-law Ron and Marilyn Manning of Toledo; brother-in-law, Todd (Britta) Manning of Germany; Aunt Cathy (Donn) Liston of Alaska. He was preceded in death by his father, Larry Monroe Johnson, Sr (June 2010) and grandparents Jim and Patsy Tucker and Norris Johnson.
